Yes, you have to put up with that ugly sigh of disappointment, but at least you don't ever have to worry about calling them back, right? Or maybe, when you give out your number, you should include a small business card with some sort of I-may-not-ever-return-your-call warning. That way at least they would be aware of the situation beforehand.

There has been some great rainbows around Boise lately.
A lot of them, seeing as it has been hurricaning so much.
Anyways, I saw one on my drive home from work the other
day and thought how I should snap a shot. But....I was being
too lazy to actually find a place to take a nice shot. Instead
I grabbed the camera from the backseat and took this
picture. While driving. On a busy road. I probably looked
retarded. Oh, and it might have not been altogether safe.

I came home the other day to see Pedro waiting
to be let in. Apparently he forgot his keys when
he left in a hurry. Still not sure where he went,
or why, but apparently he just needed a quick
vacay. My good friend, Pfost, gave him a ride

pretty sure that the Mustache also forgot his
cell phone to call me for a ride home.

So, I nanny for my boss and his wife 3 days a week. These people are like family to me...almost. They tell me to make myself at home, and use anything I want to, including anything I would like to eat. I drink a protein drink every day, sometimes with water, and occasionally I will mix in a little milk to make it a little more tasty. The other day I decided that I was going to need some milk with my protein drink...but alas the milk jug was unopened (dun dun dun).

I have a phobia. Of sorts.

I cannot open something (milk jug, for example) that is unopened when it's not mine. Just can't do it. So I was forced to stick with water.

This photo needs some explaining. This one is from over a year ago...at the BSU homecoming parade. I was wandering along the parade route when I came across these 4 asian girls. For whatever reason, I thought they were hilarious. Not only the borderline ridiculous outfits they were wearing...but the way that they were standing. I very so slyly pointed my camera in their direction as I walked by....

There is a very good story behind this photo compilation, I promise. It ties in with my last blog, random fact #5 – my obsession with taking photos with my camera phone of random things.

So, I go to the gym every morning at 5:00 am, and by the time I'm done with my workout, and back in the locker room for my jacket, there is ALWAYS an old lady/teacher sweater/vest hanging on the outside of one of the lockers just waiting for its owner. And let me tell you, every day there was a new and interesting holiday sweater. I was so fascinated by this phenomenon that I knew I needed to record it. I only got 12 of them, but this is the result....

I've never actually seen the owner, but I just feel like she has to be a teacher of some sort. Don't you think? I mean, who really has that many sweaters for a holiday??

Yep, I don't typically write on here...there is a reason for that – I'm not a writer. But because, and ONLY because, my friend Brandy said that I wouldn't do this little task she so willingly volunteered me for....I clearly have to do it. Basically the assignment is this : Write 7 random facts about myself. So here goes. This is for you, lady.

1. I love to sit on roofs. I used to live in this apartment where you could easily ("easily" is certainly a matter of perspective) access one of the flattest roofs in Boise. Hands down the best place to watch the stars ever.

2. Taking one of my two longboards down an empty parking garage is a favorite pastime. It's been a while since I've actually done it. [And it's not totally legal, so don't tell anyone.]

3. I have injured myself more with skiing than any other one thing in my life. Black eye, concussion, whiplash..etc., etc.

4. When I decide that I'm smart, I always decide to start doing crossword puzzles. Ironically, they usually end up making me feel fairly inadequate when I can only figure out 3 of the 147 flipping down and across words.

5. I LOVE taking pictures of people on my camera phone when they don't know I'm doing it. Mostly when it's someone that is ridiculously out of hand, whether by outfit or personality. Once the secret photo is snapped, it is immediately sent to one of several choice friends. Mostly to my cousin. She gets my skewed sense of humor. We are SO related.

6. Although I'm not as bad as I used to be, I am a bit of a coffee snob. My personal favorite espresso is at the Flying M Coffeehouse, in downtown Boise. Some people will argue that Dawson Taylor is the place to go...and I can't really argue that, because I think they're pretty dang good, too. But hands down, the best espresso I've ever had is at Stumptown Coffee. Wish we had one in Boise.

7. I have a secret fear/obsession with spotlights. When I see one I can't look away from it, but at the same time I'm freaking out a little on the inside. Weird, I know.

There you go, Brandy. All for you. Because clearly I cave under peer pressure. ;-(

I was at my mom and dad's house on Sunday.
My mom came up to me, telling me that she
had a present for me. Okay...... She walked
over with a little plastic wrapped thing...it
was this bracelet. It was one of those things
that they send you in the mail in order to guilt
you into donating money for whatever "good
cause" they are trying to promote. I think this
had something to do with Indian children.
Like the Native American sort. Anyways,
it looks alright from a distance, but when you
look closer...each square is a little dreamcatcher.
A little weird. But nevertheless, I told Mom that
I would cherish it forever and wear it every day.
I suppose that would be because I know she gave
it to me as a joke. And so here we go. Day number
two so far....we'll see how long it stays together.
